QED
Financial support

During the first year, the Department provides the best students admitted to the program with financial support which varies from 6,000 to 8,000 euros. From the second year on, financing is linked to Teaching or Research Assistantships on a competitive basis and -depending on the duties-  the amount provided by these fellowships ranges from 8,000 to 18,000 euros (gross) per year. The estimated yearly cost of living in Alicante is approximately 9,000 euros, including health insurance.

Financial support can be extended for up to five years. The renewal of financial support occurs on an annual basis, and requires the positive evaluation of the Department. Starting in the third year, additional financial support is available to attend conferences. Extra funding is also available to visit leading Departments in Europe or North America.
