Call for papers

We are very pleased to announce that the XXX Jornadas de Economía Industrial will be held at the University of Alicante, Spain, on September 3-4, 2015, and cordially invite you to attend. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Alicante!


All authors interested in submitting a paper for possible presentation can do so via the online paper-submission web page by clicking here.

Submissions have to be done using PDF format files only, with a maximum size of 3MB. No other file formats will be considered. No papers will be processed after the submission deadline May 18th, 2015.

Authors may submit more that one paper, but ONLY ONE accepted paper will be allowed PER PRESENTER.


Accepted papers will be included in the final conference program only if presenting authors have registered by July 15th, 2015. It is understood that authors of accepted papers are willing to act as discussants.

Young Economist Prize

A Young Economist Prize will be awarded for an exceptionally original and high-quality paper written by a young researcher, who has completed his/her PhD not before 2011. In the case of papers with more than one author, this criterion must be satisfied by all co-authors.

The Scientific Committee of the Jornadas has selected the following three papers as the finalists of the Young Economist Prize Competition:

“Limited Attention, Competition and Welfare”, by Andreas Hefti (University of Zurich)

“Competition and the Welfare Gains of Transportation Infrastructure”, by Jose Asturias (Georgetown University) and Manuel Garcia-Santana (Universite Libre de Bruxelles)

“Second Price Auctions with Participation Costs”, by Jose Antonio Espin Sanchez (Yale University) and Alvaro Parra (University of British Columbia)

The winning paper will be officialy announced during the Gala Dinner of the Jornadas, on September 4, 2015.

The prize includes an honorarium of €1000, generously sponsored by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Alicante.
